Beyond JBR and Kite Beach, Dubai has hidden gems: Al Sufouh (Black Palace Beach) for a raw beach experience, Al Mamzar Beach Park for families (AED 5 entry), Jebel Ali for kite surfing, and Ghantoot for mangroves. Plus 3 scenic coastal walks: Palm Boardwalk (11km), Dubai Creek Walk, and Bluewaters Island Loop.
Most visitors and even many residents only know Dubai's famous beaches — JBR, Kite Beach, and La Mer. But the emirate has a 60-kilometre coastline with plenty of hidden gems worth exploring.
Arguably Dubai's best-kept secret, this stretch of pristine sand sits between Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah. It's free, uncrowded, and undeveloped, offering a raw beach experience that's rare in Dubai.
While not exactly hidden, Al Mamzar is vastly underrated. This massive beach park near the Sharjah border offers five beaches, BBQ areas, swimming pools, and manicured gardens. It's especially peaceful on weekdays.
One of Dubai's most natural and untouched beaches, Jebel Ali offers a long stretch of sand with views of Palm Jebel Ali. It's popular with kite surfers and those who want a quiet beach day.
The stretch between Kite Beach and Burj Al Arab is less developed and less crowded. You'll find great views of the Burj Al Arab and a peaceful atmosphere, especially during winter months.
Technically just past the Dubai border into Abu Dhabi, Ghantoot offers a stunning mangrove-lined beach. It's a 40-minute drive from Dubai Marina but feels like a different world.
An 11-kilometre paved boardwalk runs along the crescent of Palm Jumeirah. The walk offers stunning views of the Atlantis, the Dubai Marina skyline, and the open sea. Best done early morning or sunset.
Follow the creek from Al Seef through the historic districts of Bur Dubai and Deira. The walk is lined with cafés, museums, and heritage sites, and you can take an abra (water taxi) at multiple points.
Walk around Bluewaters Island, home to Ain Dubai (the world's largest observation wheel). The 3.5 km loop offers views of JBR, the marina skyline, and plenty of dining options along the way.

Celebrity chef Nusret Gökçe, better known as Salt Bae, is set to open a flagship Saltbae Burger outlet at The Dubai Mall in 2026. The luxury fast-casual concept marks a bold new chapter for his global dining empire — and Dubai is at the centre of it.
